In 6th grade I learned, the key to financial success: spend less than you make. The key to financial desaster: always out spend your income. Everyone is excited or at least entertained with the idea to have first black (Obama) or women (Hillary) president, but I am afraid the excitement of the election games are clouding America’s view of financial desaster. Take a look at these numbers:

• The US Government currently has an IOU of $455,000 per American household.
• The US dollar is dropping like a rock (I am in Brazil studying at the moment and feeling the effects everytime I look at my expenses).
• We are now in a ressession.

The only candidate who discussed the issue of the dollar in the Republican Primaries was Ron Paul. I DON´T believe that we would have McCain as the Republican choice if this had all happend even 6 months ago.

But even though we can´t have Ron Paul as President this year there is reason to still push forward the cause of freedom and limited Government. This is why I have decided to donate to a candidate for congress that is accross the country from me. His name is BJ Lawson. Here is a video of him:
