This is a very interesting subject for me. It is one of the only areas that I struggle with. Although I feel that we need to phase the troops out so there is some stability, I completely agree with Ron Paul in that we need to bring ALL the troops home from Iraq. Currently we are building bases all over that region as if we are going to be there forever. I believe that building permanent bases in Iraq, and not COMPLETELY giving the Iraqis back their country, will bring the USA greater terrorist threats than almost anything we could do. They, and their neighbors are sick of the world’s Super Power sitting with giant guns and missiles pointed at their countries. If I was them, I would probably be doing everything in my power to fight back as well.
